Pastor Kuilan telling about Externally Focused Cell Groups

Tom Shirk and I have been having a wonderful time in Malaysia. Today we are almost finished with the third full-day externally focused seminar. So much has happened since Sam Williams and I were here back in May. This afternoon we had lunch with Pastor Kuilan from Alor Star. Pastor Kuilan

was at the EFC Seminar in May and upon hearing about utilizing small groups in externally focused ministry, he immediately challenged his cell groups to do something outside the walls. Today at lunch he showed us picture after picture and told us story after story of love and compassion exhibited by small groups in Alor Star. Simply amazing.

Yesterday in Kuala Lumpur parlaiment member Hannah Yeoh stopped by the conference. At 29 she is one of the emerging leaders in Malaysia. In June, working with a church, worked herself in cleaning up a run-down apartment complex.

As usual, it has been great to be with the talent leaders here in Malaysia. They have really paved the way for impact. Their goal is to help make every church in Malaysia a church that is externally focused and committed to community tranformation. We are so grateful to be a part of what God is doing here.
