Spy Gadgets and My New Computer

DELL XPS M1330

DELL XPS M1330

I just got a new computer. My 3.5 year old Dell 810 was my workhorse with thousands of documents stored on it but its day was over. The hard drive was packed out (OK, I did have a few hundred pictures stored in my documents) and it was painfully sloooooooooow, even after cleaning and compressing. When our Tech Guy Dallan took me few the new features I felt like when Q was briefing James Bond on the new spy gadgets. What?!?!? I swipe my finger over the finger print recognition to log on? It has a built in video camera (“Wow, my face looks bloated!”). It is amazingly thin (from less than 1″ thick to a bit more than an inch thick). The size and weight make it ideal for my new “one travel bag” way of living. The travel power cord is very small and short–ideal for plugging it into the lamp on the hotel desk. The four hour battery means that while on the road, I operate on the battery and plug it in to charge it up. The cover is Mac White, which passes me off as a bit hipper than I am. (I’m sort of like the PC guy who dresses like the Mac guy in the TV ads.) The SKYPE works great with the camera and I feel like I’m mobile and wired for the next three years.
