Who would have thought we’d live so long to see this?

When I was visiting my folks in Stockton last week I installed a webcam on their computer. Last night, when I noticed my 82 year-old mother was on line I gave her a call on Skype. After a couple of minutes we got the cameras going and boy was it great to see their faces–and for them to see ours. We talked and laughed really hard. I think many of us remember going to Disneyland and then waiting in line to use the “Picture phones.” Well that day has come. My mom remarked, “Who would have thought we’d live so long to see this?”
